Monterey Bay Horticulture Supply is owned and managed by gardeners for gardeners. Our goal is to provide our customers with the best shopping experience possible by offering the newest products, outstanding service and selection, and the best prices of any store period. We will beat any price even on the internet! Our underlying goal is to provide a happy and fun work environment with career growth opportunities for our employees and support our local community. All of our employees, managers, and owners are active in the community by organizing food drives, volunteer work and donations to local schools and organizations.
We Take Returns from Other Stores
With customer service being our number one priority, it is no surprise that our returns policy clearly reflects this. We know that when a part of your system fails, you need to have it resolved as quickly as possible. This is why we take back faulty products still under warranty even if it was purchased at one of our competitors. We try to provide loaners whenever possible. The only caveat is that it must be a product that we carry, and if we can’t verify the warranty status from a date code, or other such marking, we will gladly send the product back to the distributor or manufacturer and advocate for you to have said product warrantied where applicable.
We recognize that without you, there is no us! We strive to do our best to ensure that we treat you the way we want to be treated when we shop at a store. The customer loyalty program works like this: sign up for an account at the register. All we need is a unique name of your choosing, that you can remember, so we can get you set up on the discount program. Your account name and accompanying discount will work at any Gardening Unlimited store from Santa Cruz, CA to Buffalo, NY and everywhere in between. The more you shop, the higher your discount. In the rare instance you see a lower price elsewhere; all you need to do is talk to one of our staff. With over 6000 products in our system we try to make sure you are getting the best price, but, if you find a better one on the same product or comparable. We will beat it.
We Beat Anyone’s Price – Even on the Internet!
It is our goal to have the lowest prices around. If you can find it cheaper, we will gladly beat the price. Here is what you need to do. If you find the price cheaper, bring in the advertisement, or a receipt, or show it to our staff on your phone. Or you can have one of our managers call the shop in question to verify. It is that simple. If you find the price online bring in a print out or just give us the link. For price matches from the web the cost must include shipping and tax. Furthermore, if you purchase an item and find it for less within 30 days of your purchase, bring in a copy of a receipt, advertisement, or other verifiable information, and we will refund you back the difference plus 50% of that difference given to you on a shop gift card. We refuse be undersold. We cannot honor prices below list wholesale or sale specials. We will give you the difference back up to list wholesale in that event.
